FDA Issues Recall for Sangria Fruit Juice Due to Alcohol Content Concerns

The Director of Legal and Cooperative Affairs at the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Perpetual Vincentia Yankson ESQ, speaking on UTV’s ADEKYE NSROMA “MPU NE MPU” show, has raised serious concerns regarding Sangria fruit juice. During the program, it was revealed that the product contains unrelated alcohol, contrary to the specifications initially provided. According to the manufacturer, Sangria fruit juice was stated to contain only 18% alcohol.

However, after thorough checks conducted by the FDA, it was discovered that the actual alcohol content exceeds the declared 18%.

As a result, the FDA has taken decisive action, issuing a directive for the immediate recall and removal of all affected Sangria fruit juice products from the general market. Additionally, the FDA has advised the public to exercise caution and remain vigilant about the products they purchase and consume.

This move underscores the FDA's commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring that all products on the market adhere to strict regulatory standards.
